The
Local Authority Support Programme
 The
Local Authority Support Programme
is an Energy Saving Trust funded
initiative. Additional staff are
placed in Energy Efficiency Advice
Centres to work together with their
local authorities to develop and
deliver strategies to improve the
energy efficiency of all housing
within their areas and to promote
sustainable energy use. Currently
40% of local authorities across the
United Kingdom receive support through
the Local Authority Support Programme.
The aims
of the programme are:

To
develop the resources and strategic
infrastructure support for local
authorities (and other agencies where
appropriate) to coordinate the local
delivery of energy efficiency services
and initiatives and to provide additional
staff resources to assist local authorities
in their Home Energy Conservation
Act and sustainable energy activities. |
